Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) has demonstrated disruptive value in industries ranging from communications to radiology but has only recently begun to penetrate the traditional workflows in pharmaceutical industry.  In this talk, the speakers will discuss the current landscape of AI-driven drug discovery capabilities in terms of how they purport to impact the discovery value chain in general and the DMTA cycle in particular, alsoshowcase a future vision of fully integrated AI-enabled discovery specific in hit identification and lead optimization.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. William Glauser is the Senior Vice President of Business Strategy at XtalPi, Inc., an AI-driven CRO, where he leverages two decades of experience applying physics- and AI-based solutions to critical problems in drug discovery and development. Prior to that, he was SVP of Commercialization at Seven Bridges Genomics, a pioneer in biomedical data analysis for precision medicine, and SVP of Business Development at Schrödinger.

Dr. William Glauser held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley in theoretical chemistry after earning a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida in computational chemistry. He then earned an MBA in Technology Evaluation and Commercialization from North Carolina State University, where he cofounded an AI-driven company specializing in bioprocessing.
